McLaren F1 is a private car-based Formula 1, very unique indeed driving a private car with a steering wheel in the middle. McLaren F1 is a sports car designed and produced by Gordon Murray and McLaren Automotive. In April 2009, F1 was defeated by only four other production car on the speed of light, but still the fastest production car naturally aspirated. This car has many exclusive designs and technology. Although not designed as a track machine, modified race car car edition won several races, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995, where he faced prototypes purpose-built racing cars.

Murray initially approached Honda for power plants with 550 bhp (410 kW, 560 PS), 600 mm (23.6 in) block length and total weight of 250 kg (551 lb), it must be derived from Formula One powerplant in the then-dominating McLaren / Honda car.
